The Brutus 1966 P-Bass Vintage Pickup set is our tribute to the pioneering era in Fender bass history and is a take on the mid 1960’s Fender Precision Bass. Based on the flat-pole design with wonderful clarity & string definition, a slightly brighter attack and a smooth but strong bottom end capturing the sound of the all time best selling bass guitar from a great period in music history.

Our Axekool 1966 P Bass vintage pickups are 100% handwound. Traditionally pinched between forefinger and thumb on one of our very own unique hand built pickup winding machines. Unlike machine wound pickups, handwound (scatterwound) pickups can have a richer harmonic voice. All our pickups are custom wound to order, so they are made for you.
