Fender Jazz Bass Vintage Style Wiring Harness
This pre-wired Fender Jazz Bass Vintage Style Wiring Harness is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. Components
Premium 250k CTS Potentiometers x 3, solid shaft with Vintage Audio Taper.
Switchcraft Jack Socket.
Capacitor / Sprague Orange Drop or PIO Paper in Oil, Size 0.022uF or 0.047uF.
Gavitt USA made cloth covered 22AWG wire.
Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired Fender Jazz Bass Wiring harness is wired to fit genuine Fender USA or Mexican control plates. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.
Centre to centre measurements between components
Centre of Volume pot 1 to centre of volume pot 2 – 35mm.
Centre of Volume pot 2 to centre of tone pot – 35mm.
Centre of tone pot to centre of jack socket – 35mm.
These measurements were taken from a USA Fender Jazz Bass control plate. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications.

The Jazz Bass wiring harness is one of the more simple harnesses to fit with just 5 wires to solder, 2 x ground and 2 hot wires from the pickups and the ground wire from the bridge. All ground wires go to the back of the Volume Potentiometer and the pickup x 2 hot wires goes to the input terminals on the Volume Potentiometers. There is sometimes an additional ground wire from the body which you will need to solder to the back of the Volume Potentiometer.
