This pre-wired Gibson & Epiphone Thunderbird Bass Vintage Wiring Harness is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. We take a massive amount of care and attention when putting our Thunderbird Bass Wiring harnesses together. Everything is fully tested before being posted to you.

Components
Premium 500k CTS Potentiometers x 3, split shaft with Vintage Audio Taper.
Capacitor / Size 0.047uF – Sprague Orange Drop or PIO Paper in Oil.
Gavitt USA made cloth covered 22AWG wire.
Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire.

Jack Socket
There are various types of Jack Sockets fitted to different models, so we have left this blank for you. If your Thunderbird bass does use a standard jack socket, we do sell these in the shop here > We would be happy to solder it on to the harness for you, but please check you bass first.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired Gibson & Epiphone Thunderbird Bass Vintage Wiring Harness is wired to fit genuine Gibson or Epiphone guitars. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.
Centre to centre measurements between components
Centre of Volume pot 1 to centre of volume pot 2 – 40mm.
Centre of Volume pot 2 to centre of tone pot – 40mm..
These measurements were taken from a Gibson and Epiphone guitar. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications.
