We use Orange Drop Capacitors of various values as standard on our Wiring Harnesses. By investing in a high quality parts you will get many more hours of use due to the durability of the product.

The wonderful and famous “Orange Drop” film capacitors made by Sprague. A perfect guitar electrics upgrade offering quality sonic clarity over cheap ceramic capacitors.

If you use a 0.022uF capacitor and it is too bright when the tone control is rolled all of the way down or a 0.047uF and its too dark when the tone control is rolled all of the way down, then a 0.033uF will get you a good middle tone roll-off and strikes a good compromise between the 2 standard values.

The 0.033uF is also traditionally used in Fender Jazzmaster / lead circuit tone controls.

Orange drop capacitors are stable, reliable and consistent, ensuring the value stamped on the capacitor is to the value that you are actually getting.
