This pre-wired Gibson & Epiphone ES-295 Vintage Wiring Harness is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. We take a massive amount of care and attention when putting our Gibson & Epiphone ES-295 Vintage harnesses together. Everything is fully tested before being posted to you.

Components

• USA 500k CTS Potentiometers x 4, Options of Standard, Long and Mini Pots, Split Shafts (fitted with additional nut for height adjustment on the Long Pots).
• Switchcraft USA Toggle Switch (short frame).
• Switchcraft USA Jack Socket.
• Sprague Orange Drop Capacitors x 2, Size 0.022uF.
• Gavitt USA Braided Wire.
• Heatshrink Insulation Sleeving.
• Mounted on a 3D Printed Wiring Template.
• Jack Socket and Pots supplied with Nut, Flat Dress Washer & Locking Star Washer.

Switch & Jack Option (Soldered or Unsoldered)
Soldered – On some Hollowbody guitars you will be able to thread the switch & Jack through to its position while soldered to the pots, so the harness can be supplied all in one unit.
Unsoldered – On some Hollowbody guitars the switch and Jack will need to be supplied separately, (the 3 way switch wires will be labelled for you) from the pots so you can thread it through first before soldering. Its all about access, so we have put the option in for you. There is a separate photo and wiring diagram of this option. Please note we have fitted to the unsoldered harness a Buss Wire to make it as easy as possible for you to fit, instead of you having to run the bridge cable round the pots and having to do a lot of soldering.

Long or Short Potentiometers? (Pots)
Most ES-295 models require the standard length pots, however on some older Gibson models you may require longer pots due to the thickness of the guitar top. Please see the following measurements.
Short Pot threaded bushing height: 9.52mm.
Long Pot threaded bushing height: 19.05mm (supplied with 2 nuts for height adjustment).

CTS Mini Potentiometer Option
A top quality Mini CTS Potentiometer that is of equal quality to the larger CTS Potentiometer and offers easier fitting for Hollowbody type guitars with restricted access via the F holes.

Controls
Volume 1 – Bridge.
Volume 2 – Neck.
Tone 1 – Bridge.
Tone 2 – Neck.

Switching
Position 1 – Bridge Pickup.
Position 2 – Bridge & Neck Pickup.
Position 3 – Neck Pickup.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired Gibson & Epiphone ES-295 Vintage Wiring harness is wired to fit all models. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.

Centre to centre measurements between components
Centre of neck volume pot to centre of neck tone pot – 64mm.
Centre of neck volume pot to bridge volume pot – 64mm.
Centre of bridge volume pot to bridge tone pot – 64mm.
Measurements can sometimes vary slightly on some Gibson & Epiphone ES-295, so we allow plenty of movement in wire lengths between components to allow for a comfortable fit. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications.
