This pre-wired DeArmond Starfire Bass Vintage Wiring Harness is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. We take a massive amount of care and attention when putting our DeArmond Starfire Bass Harnesses together. Everything is fully tested before being posted to you.

This is a Professional DeArmond Wiring Harness using the very best in components to enhance the quality of tone and sound output from your guitar.

Components

• USA 500k CTS Potentiometers x 4, Options of Short, Long and Mini Split Shafts (fitted with additional nut for height adjustment on the Long Pots).
• Switchcraft USA 3 Way Toggle Switch (short frame).
• Switchcraft USA Jack Socket.
• Sprague Orange Drop Capacitor x 2, Size 0.047uF.
• Gavitt USA Braided Wire.
• Heatshrink Insulation Sleeving.
• Mounted on a 3D Printed Wiring Template.
• Jack Socket and Pots supplied with Nut, Flat Dress Washer & Locking Star Washer.

Controls (5 x Potentiometers)
Master Volume.
Volume 1 – Bridge.
Volume 2 – Neck.
Tone 1 – Bridge.
Tone 2 – Neck.

Switching
Position 1 – Bridge Pickup.
Position 2 – Bridge & Neck Pickup.
Position 3 – Neck Pickup.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired DeArmond Starfire Bass Vintage Wiring harness is wired to fit all models. If installing into an imported model or a DIY guitar kit you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill.

Centre to centre measurements between components
Centre of neck volume pot to centre of neck tone pot – 75mm.
Centre of neck volume pot to bridge volume pot – 75mm.
Centre of bridge volume pot to bridge tone pot – 75mm.
Centre of neck tone pot to bridge tone pot – 75mm.
Measurements can sometimes vary slightly on some DeArmond Starfire Bass Models, so we allow plenty of movement in wire lengths between components to allow for a comfortable fit. If your measurements are different from the above, please let us know and we will build your harness to your specifications.

Switch Tip
The USA 3 Way Switch requires a Switch Tip that has a imperial thread. If you are replacing a cheaper switch in your guitar the tip will not fit as it will be a metric thread. We sell the tips: Switchcraft Toggle Switch Tip / Cap / Knob (6 Colours).
