Exotic Tonewoods

The unique tone offered by the Tanglewood TWJSFCE cutaway electro acoustic comes down to the beautiful 3-piece body wood choice, consisting of Amara and Spalted Mango. These two woods come together in the body to produce a bright and crisp sound, with plenty of deep bass and broad-ranging fundamentals, similar to what you’d get with Koa. Perfectly complimenting the back-piece, is a Solid Cedar topwood, that adds its own dark-sounding voice into the mix, and provides the guitar with plenty of sound projection. Overall, the voice of this guitar is quite unique sounding, and due to its nature is more dry than reverby, making it ideal for fingerstyle players and folk musicians.

Smaller than a Dreadnought, but still big enough to make its presence felt, the Super Folk body shape lends itself well for live performers. The Tanglewood Java TWJSFCE also comes with a single cutaway for anyone needing upper fret access.

The preamp controls are discretely mounted just inside of the guitars soundhole, preserving the guitars acoustic aesthetic.
