This pre-wired Fender Telecaster Vintage Wiring Harness with 3 Way Switch is designed for replacing old electrics or upgrading the electronics of imported models or for use on DIY Kits. Components
Premium 250k CTS Potentiometers x 2 – Solid Shaft with Vintage Audio Taper.
CRL Vintage USA 3-way switch.
Switchcraft Jack Socket.
Capacitor / Sprague Orange Drop or PIO Paper in Oil, Size 0.022uF or 0.047uF.
Tinned-copper “buss” ground wire.
Gavitt USA made cloth covered 22AWG wire.

Treble Bleed Option
A Treble Bleed takes the high treble tone frequencies out of the circuit at the volume pot and puts them back in the circuit as the signal leaves the volume pot. The result is a smoothed out treble and a more uniform tone from 1 to 10. Reducing the treble drop out as the volume pot rolls off. If you like the idea of retaining treble as you roll your volume pot down, then a treble bleed is for you.

Will this fit my guitar?
Our pre-wired Fender Telecaster Vintage Wiring harness is wired to fit genuine Fender USA or Mexican control plates. If installing into an imported model, you will need to ensure the Potentiometer holes on the control plate will take CTS pots (approx 10mm). This can be done using a round file or carefully with a 10mm drill. Please also check the 64mm measurement between the centre of volume pot to centre of tone pot, as a lot of imported models are 60mm. We can build the harness to 60mm for you, just let us know when you place order.

Centre of Switch to volume pot = 40mm.
Centre of volume pot to centre of tone pot = 64mm.

The Telecaster wiring harness is one of the more simple harnesses to fit with just 5 wires to solder, 2 x ground and the 2 hot wires from the pickups and the ground wire from the bridge. All ground wires go to the back of the Volume Potentiometer and the pickup hot wires go to the 3 way switch at opposite ends. There is sometimes an additional ground wire from the body which you will need to solder to the back of the Volume Potentiometer. We have made it as simple as possible to install your Fender Telecaster Vintage Wiring Harness with 3 way switch. We offer full after support should you need it.
